11/9
Happy second quarter! I cannot believe one quarter has already flown by! Below are several important updates for 7th grade French students.
Tutoring --Tomorrow morning at 8! If your student is missing assignments or struggling with concepts, this is a perfect opportunity to come for small group work.
Next Thursday (11/17) tutoring is canceled because I will be out of town for an awesome PD opportunity.
Next Test--The next test will be 11/18 (for A day students) and 11/21 (for B day students). We will be preparing every day up until this test.
Topics-
--physical descriptions
--personality traits
--structures (Je suis, Je ne suis pas, Il/Elle est, Il/Elle n'est pas, J'ai, Je n'ai pas, Il/Elle a, Il/Elle n'a pas)
--the difference between I have (J'ai) and I am (Je suis)--I have red hair. I am nice.
--a review of numbers and dates will also be on the test
How to prepare--Students should review their notes, practice using the quizlet links below, watch relevant youtube videos, and ask questions! Students are always encouraged to email me with any questions!

Duolingo--Finally, I have asked that each student sign up for a duolingo account and join my class. Students should set a goal of 5-10 minutes a day to practice using duolingo (either the website or the app). The links are below in case your student hasn't signed up yet. There haven't been any formally assigned lessons on this site yet (I tried to assign one to test it out, but I will just count it as extra credit!)

Classroom needs--Everyone seems to be getting sick. I need tissues and clorox wipes for my class room.
